Do AusStudy or other CentreLink payments continue?
CentreLink recognizes overseas study which is part of a student’s university studies and which will be credited to the student’s Bachelor Degree at their home university. However, students must visit a CentreLink office to ensure that their course of overseas study meets CentreLink requirements and to arrange for continued payment of any entitlements while they are away. On return, students are required to inform CentreLink. It is the responsibility of the student to ensure they meet CentreLink requirements before departing on an exchange program and upon return to Australia .
