Do atheists mind religious charity?
There are lots of organizations who do charity work without having any religious agenda, and atheists can contribute to them. Some atheists also contribute to the charity work of religious organizations because they actually do help people. There are even atheists who do volunteer work for organizations with religious foundations. Most atheists dont think that atheism is worth mentioning in connection with charity. For some of them, atheism is simply an obvious part of everyday life as is charity. Many atheists think that its low and self righteous to use charity to promote religious convictions. It would be an odd act for a weak atheist to build a hospital brandishing the motto, I have no faith in god. It would be similar to having a party with the theme, It isnt my birthday today. Why all the fuss?
