Do atheists ever have moments of doubt and believe in God?

Not a real atheist, no. An agnostic might, but then he’s supposed to. Once you’ve figured out that the concept of the Christian God makes no sense whatsoever, it’s hard to conceive of this type of man-made God. As an atheist, I could conceive of something beyond this lifetime, but it wouldn’t look anything like what you believe in.

That would last longer then a moment… I would have to go through the list of them to see which one I want to believe in. Ares was the god of savage warfare… I named my son after him, so therefore I guess I could go with that.

A moment of speculation doesn’t amount to suddenly believing. It’s not like we’re trying really hard not to believe. We’re just not convinced at this time based on what we know of the world now.
