Some do some dont depends some even believe that important things happen for a reason maybe not others is mixed thing on that yet for those who do believe things happen for a reason they do not attribute it to any superior being they put it as either fate or coincidence type thing. Atheists are just as varied on beliefs as non-atheists usually only common thing is disbelief in God.
