Do arranged marriages in pakistani culture work?
Well it depends really.if you are born in Pakistan than u never had such problem because that is local culture and most of Pakistanis are happy to accept it.Secondly most of Pakistanis are muslim and arranged marrige is part of following religon. Now even if u thinkpractical than there is no problem if your partner will respect your parents or family as far as you dont behave like a slave. In the case having girlfriends and boyfriends before marrige is more likely in other countries like UK or USA but not common in Pakistan. Most of Pakistanis are not that bad but yeh there are exceptions every where. So i will say you need to be wise enough to judge people and that is why your parents choose one for you because they know better than yourself. Lets say if somebody is British or American Born and brought up than my suggestion is not try Pakistani girl or boy as you never be happy with eachother because of culture differences.I am in UK and i have never seen any pakistani boy who is happily

Once everything is approved, they will date, etc. Apparently, they can refuse to marry their family’s choice, although I do not know how often this happens. Her thinking was that she would be too young to make an intelligent descision, especially if she were in love. The families can step back, and look at all the factors objectively. She also told me that the marriages rarely break
