Do Apple Jacks ads disparage apples?
A new TV and online campaign for Kellogg brand Apple Jacks cereal features a race between a happy cinnamon stick and a gang of bad apples portrayed as “grouchy,” “sour,” and “meddling,” prompting some nutrition advocates to criticize the ads for disparaging the taste of fresh fruit. Kellogg spokesperson Jenny Enochson said the ads are simply a “lighthearted and fun way to communicate the cinnamon great taste of the cereal.
