Do any religious people like John Lennons song Imagine?
I’m a Christian and I like the song, John Lennon was definitely a musical genius and and liked what he was trying to achieve by writing the song, but I don’t necessarily agree with the lyrics. Having no religion and no countries isn’t going to solve the worlds problems. People are just going to fight over other differences of opinion. We need to learn to accept and respect each other, not just take away all of the differences. I have always though it kind of ironic that he is singing, “Imagine no possessions I wonder if you can” while sitting in his multi-million dollar mansion overlooking beautiful grounds. He was one of the richest men in the world at the time, and he did give away money and do a lot of charity work but he still kept a lot of money for himself, buying expensive clothes, living in an expensive house, and flying first class all around the world.
