Do any other student nurses out there feel like they are just an extra HCA on placement?
My sister started training as as student nurse when she was 18 (after two years in college) – She HAD to start from the bottom – LITERALLY – She had to clean up patients who had messed themselves, change weeping dressings etc ! NOW – she’s a ward Sister, and has been abroad on training ‘missions’ EVERYONE in the health service has to start somewhere – If you can’t handle the crud – you shouldn’t be in the job !
