Do any other non-Christians out there love the music from Jesus Christ Superstar?
I’m going to the play on the 22nd. I’ll let you know what the buzz is after that. I kind of like to see what is changed in remakes. I can’t sit through the exact same thing over and over. Sometimes things are lost and some of the changes are bad. West Side Story really pissed my wife off. I recall one of the high points in Singing in the Rain was when Cosmo, played by a bald guy, is trying to explain how Don has it so much better than him and starts singing about the things he doesn’t have to the tune of I Got Life from Hair and when he get to the point where he should be saying “I got my hair” the music that was slowly starting just stops and he says, “Hey! What do I have?” I thought it was funny and I’m sure 3/4 of the audience didn’t get it but I enjoy the little things.
