Do any nurses do bench biomedical research?
There were a couple of people in my old lab who attended nursing programs while working part time as techs. They had wanted to work in clinical research. I don’t know if there is any demand for people with the clinical training of a nurse to work in basic science. My guess is the closest nurses come to basic research is outcome studies and public health studies. I think they are well suited to clinical research though.
