Do any know the history of sushi and sari?
The history of sushi and the sandwich are actually very similiar. Sushi was invented as a finger food so that Japanese gamblers would not get the tiles gummy with food, it was small bite size and did not interfere with gambling. The sandwich was invented when an English gentleman was playing cards late into the night and asked for some food. When he was informed that the cook had retired for the evening he asked for a slice of meat between two peices of bread. Hope this helps, sorry I have no idea about sari.
