I don’t know of any flights that go directly over the South Pole, but some may go across part of that continent. Flights from Australia to South America or Africa might curve toward Antarctica, just as flights from Europe to North America curve toward Greenland in order to fly the shortest route. Airlines are very aware of flight distances, because any path that is shorter saves fuel, and that saves money.
