Do any african people have naturally non-afro hair?
Somalians can for one; it depends on the region, and I’m talking about black Africans. The “twisty” hair is actually very tiny curls or coils; think of them as very tiny corkscrew-like curls. There’s a huge black African population in my area and they’re not all the same, nor do they all look the same, and keep in mind that Africa is made up of nearly 50 totally different countries. Oh, yeah, and I used to date an African, too, and I’ve seen many with smooth, silky hair textures that grows down instead of up and out like natural afro hair. Their hair is still curly, just not the typical afro texture, and their curls can be looser and/or bigger. All blacks don’t have the same hair type, just like all whites dont have the same hair type. Of course, you don’t have to believe me, I can only report what I’ve seen, and you’ll be surprised by the amount of ignorance Americans have about Africans, ignorance about Africans is also in the black American communities. @chefquiet – that’s silly.
