Do any adults here actually use Algebra in their day to day lives?
You probably will use algebra in your adult life. The same problem solving functions studied in algebra are also used in surveying, elctronics, calculating height and distances, setting up spreadsheets and calculating periodic phenomenon like tides, population changes, 24-hour cycles, etc. Not only might you apply the same functions learned in algebra, but learning and practicing algebra enhances the ability to think critically and to solve problems.
