Yes, cats and dogs see in color. All carnivores do. The animals that do not see in color are herbivores like cattle, elephants, buffalo etc. As far as the things I’ve read go, cats and dogs can see all the same colors we can. Now how they interpret those colors is anyones guess. They probably don’t think of colors the same way we do since they don’t get the training from their parents we get such as this color goes with that color. With most animals that see color, bright, warm colors like red, orange and yellow are warnings. A lot of poisionous animals and plants have these colors. Some animals use color to attract a mate, especially certain species of birds. Back to dogs and cats, from what I’ve read, they probably use color to help them identify things.
