Do animal rescue groups and animal shelters find it more difficult to adopt black cats?
Actually black cats and black dogs have a hard time finding homes. It’s not necessarily because people are superstitious, it’s because black animals are often seen as “plain” It’s referred to as Black Dog Syndrome. Sadly for black cats, a lot of not-so-nice people will adopt them around Halloween solely for the purpose of doing them harm.
