Do AMs bark a lot?
As with most breeds, AM puppies bark more than AM adults, but as a general rule, AMs arent out of control barkers. Adult AMs usually bark when they sense someone knocking on the door or approaching their home, or if they observe something unusual and want to alert you. While still a puppy, its important to teach your AM when its appropriate an when its inappropriate to bark. But that doesnt mean that AMs arent vocal! One of the endearing AM traits is its ability to engage in Wookie Talk, where it sounds like the AM is imitating Chewbacca! Its a sound thats difficult to describe, but sounds like a cross between a soft growl and a deep yawn. Many adult and adolescent AMs will Wookie Talk when trying to get your attention.
