Do Americans typically have a negative reputation around the world?

Americans do have a negative reputation. However as long as you don’t act like the stereotypical American, asking stupid questions and saying that America is so much better then you won’t have a problem. I’m from Ireland and we get thousands of US tourists. From personal experience they don’t have any trouble until they ask us where they can see a leprechaun etc.
