Do Americans Need Passports to Go to Jamaica?
The requirements when traveling to and from Jamaica have changed over the course of the last few years. The Western Hemisphere Travel Initiative has made new passport requirements for re-entry into the United States for citizens. Jamaica falls under this initiative. In the past, a valid ID and birth certificate were enough to enter and return from Jamaica.
