Do all vintage Vespas require oil to be mixed with the gas?

Yes and no. Yes, all vintage Vespas have two-stroke engines which require two-percent or five-percent oil to be mixed with the fuel. However, some of the later models have an auto-lube system, which does the mixing for you. So you can put the oil in a separate tank than the gas, and it is mixed in the engine. For most models though, you will need to pre-mix the gas and oil. We can provide you with a special mixing cup to measure the oil to exactly the right ratio.
