Do all sugar tests detect diabetes?

Well we really needed more information for this question. There are a number of tests that could have been performed besides the OGGT that you already took, and they are: The fasting Blood Sugar test requires a fasting period of at least 8 hours for accurate results. The A1c test which does not require fasting but does measure your average glucose over the past 2-3 months and is weighed more towards your fasting numbers. The Glycomark test which is relatively new in this country but has been approved by the FDA measures your post dranial (after meal) from a 2 day period to a two week period and as with the A1c test you don’t have to fast for this, in fact it’s becoming common place to have the two tests taken at the same time as they seem to compliment each other in helping a diabetic discover when their blood sugars are rising.
