Do all phones have equivalent ringtone engines?
A. No. Phones that are enabled to accept custom ringtones often have different ringtone engines. Often different brands and models have different musical and technical capabilities. For example, Sony Ericsson phones make it very easy to input ringtones but are extremely limited musically speaking while others, such as Nokias, are a little more complicated to work with but have great musical features. Check your phones feature list for more information.
