Yes, all suction outlet grates or covers installed in pools and water attractions must meet the ASME/ANSI standard. Manufactured grates and covers must be listed by a nationally-recognized listing agency to meet the ASME/ANSI A112.19.8-2007 standard (the version adopted by the Comm 90 2009 code). National agencies at this time that are listing grates include International Association of Plumbing and Mechanical Officials (IAPMO) and National Sanitation Foundation (NSF).
