Do all of the dormant accounts belong to Holocaust victims?
• No. The accounts which have been identified as dormant in Switzerland are not limited to those belonging to Holocaust victims. They belong to persons of all nationalities and religions and some have been dormant since before the Holocaust. The HCPO will accept claims from any person, regardless of ethnic, religious or national background, seeking to recover assets held by a Swiss bank between January 1, 1933 and May 9, 1945 and dormant since May 9, 1945.
