Do all mobile networks experience call drop out ?
Yes. All GSM and 3G Networks operate off radio technology and therefore subject to dropped calls when the radio signals weaken. It is important to note that call dropouts and reception interference will always exist with the use of radio-based technologies. Call drop outs depends on many factors such as: 1) Interference receiving too many radio signals – this can be a result of the phone being able to see too many cell sites and receiving conflicting information from them. It can also be caused by signals bouncing off buildings or large metal objects e.g. trucks or trains. In some cases interference from other high powered radio equipment can cause this as well. 2) Low signal – this can be a result of a genuine lack of signal in the area due to the local terrain or by something getting in the way of the signal being emitted from the phone.
