Do all members (both biological and step-parents) need to attend?

No – all you need is one willing adult and remarkable things happen from there. You may attend as an individual or have more than one member of your step-family participate in different sessions based on role, needs, and interests. For example, the biological parent may attend a session focusing on the challenges of sharing his/her child with a stranger and the step-parent my attend a session focused on being a first-time parent of a 10 year old.
