Do all Independent Study or Cooperative Education courses fulfill the SSHS core requirement for fieldwork or independent research?
No. Independent Study or Cooperative Education courses taken with a psychology faculty member that do not fulfill the criteria described in the paragraph above e.g., courses involving only library research, may count as psychology electives, but they will not fulfill the psychology category 6 course requirement, nor will they count as independent study research or fieldwork courses for the SSHS school core requirement. Cooperative education courses and other courses that include an experiential learning component do not automatically fulfill the SSHS fieldwork/ independent study or psychology category 6 requirements.
