Do all IMERC-member States Have Product Notification and Labeling Requirements?
The regulatory environment for mercury-added products has become complex and is dynamic. However, IMERC attempts to maintain the most current compliance guidance and state specific contact information on its website at: http://www.newmoa.org/prevention/mercury/imerc.cfm There are 14 states that are currently members of IMERC including California, Connecticut, Illinois, Louisiana, Maine, Massachusetts, Minnesota, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, Rhode Island, Vermont, and Washington. All of these states have enacted or are in the process of enacting some mercury reduction legislation, but not all of them require product notification or labeling.
