Do all COlt 45 MK IV have rifling?
It is safe to say that ALL Colts, made since 1860, have had rifling. Most all clones have too. In most cases, any firearm you purchase today, except Muskets, will have some form of rifling in it. This is almost a requirement in manufacturing today. The only ones that do not have it, and do not suffer a loss of sales, are weapons made as copies of weapons prior to 1860. I use 1860 as a general date, because I cannot remember when it became standard in military and hunting arms. If you have a Colt, you don’t have a copy, but an original Colt. The MK IV Series 80 is one with others are judged by. This weapon, basically, is a 1911 Colt, the Army workhorse since 1911. There are a lot of copies out there, but Colt is the first one. As far as I know, anyone can make a 1911 pattern gun, but cannot stamp Colt on it or they can be sued by Colt. This is a trademark right, and I don’t think it has been dropped by Colt. Someone may take parts from a Colt, with the markings, and try to make a Colt h
