Do all children receive the same level of services? Will the number of hours per week of services that my child receives vary over time?
Recommended levels of service are based on a child’s specific needs, age and level of functioning. A 24-month child old that naps 4-5 hours per day is simply not available for the same number of hours per day as a 48-month-old child who does not nap. Alternatively, a child with Asperger’s syndrome who has age-appropriate language skills may not need the same number of hours of intervention as a child who has no language.
