Most, but not all, bullion bars and coins require the seller to provide a SSN and other personal information when you sell above certain minimums.* *The new Health Care Act will require the disclosure of a SSN starting in 2012 for sales above a certain amount unless proposed legislation to repeal that portion of the Health Care law passes. There are a number of members of Congress and trade groups actively supporting repeal of this statute.
