The concern generated by climate change both among the public powers and among the population as a whole has led to the adoption of a number of measures which seek to achieve a reduction of energy consumption, as well as the evolution toward less polluting energies. Being well aware of this need, the Valencian Regional Authorities created the Valencian Energy Agency (Spanish initials AVEN), an organism entrusted with undertaking actions meant to achieve energy saving and encourage the use of renewable energies.
