Do advances in RFID and smart chip technologies help address these concerns?
Yes, they do. And that’s one of the things we like about this market. There is going to be ever-increasing needs for improved security over time. Today, there are existing security layers that are fairly complexity and meet the mandates of government but that level of security will continue to be revised. What we learned is that the more advanced and unified our smart IC platform is, the more difficult it is for someone to pull it apart. And with the faster and more efficient transaction time is for electronic verification, the more secure the data is. So speed matters when it comes to security. Any additional thoughts you’d like to pass on? Some of the final thoughts might include the value of investing in new technology for government IDs which we are hoping that will have a “cascade effect” and impact electronic payments markets which also have high security needs going forward. We hope this is a win-win for two markets in secure RF smart ICs. —– About Julie Spicer England Julie
