Do adults get acne, or just teenagers?
• Acne is a condition experienced by people of all ages. The most common skin disorder in the US, it is estimated that 25 to 30% of all acne prone skin can be found among adults over the age of 18. In adults, acne seems to be more prevalent on the lower portion of the face. The chin and jawline are common areas of breakouts, especially for adult women, and is usually caused by hormones and stress. In adolescents breakouts generally occur on the forehead, nose, cheeks and chin.
