Do acrylic nails damage the natural nail?
Acrylic nails themselves do not damage the nail bed or the natural nail. What does cause damage is the way they are applied or removed by the Nail Artist. Always go to a reputable nail Artist and you should not have any problems. Also, keep in mind that most people who have nail extensions start off with weak, soft nails (this is the reason for the extension!) so of course when the hard, unbendable acrylic nail is taken off, the nails will feel soft again. This is sometimes troubling to people as they forget that their nails were like that to begin with. The different sensation usually settles after a week or so.
