Do accessible web sites have to be boring?
No, this is a common myth. We believe firmly that accessible does not have to be boring. There are many talented designers producing exciting accessible websites. Today we know much more about the accessibility needs of different groups of people, and the techniques necessary to meet them. What is now needed is for accessibility to move into the cutting edge of design, so that web designers work from the beginning with accessibility requirements and technology in mind. We will keep a watch for who is doing what in terms of best practice on the Web and report that here. While web 2.0 applications can create accessibility barriers it also provides for a range of alternative ways of presenting information online.
