Of course it is. Abusive men have low self esteems themselves (usually) so they seek women who think little of themselves because there is less chance of women like that leaving or cheating. It is also easier to dominate women who already have low self esteems. Another point is that women with poor self image tend towards abusive men…They tell themselves that they deserve no better or like the cockiness that most such men portray in public.
