Disney XD – Who Will Tune In?
On Friday, February 13, 2009, Toon Disney will become Disney XD. Squarely aimed at boys ages 6-14, Disney is hoping this revamp will bring in much needed viewers lost to Nickelodeon and the Cartoon Network. Disney XD will feature a mix of live action shows and animated shows. Some will be original series and others will come from the Toon Disney line up and the regular Disney Channel line up. Among one of the biggest promotions is for the new series “Aaron Stone.” The show is about a boy who is a video game whiz and is then recruited as a secret agent. Loosely reminds me of “The Famous Jett Jackson” which is also rumored to be a part of the lineup. Other new shows include “RoboDz” where robots protect the earth from alien invasion. Some familiar Disney programming will include: “The Suite Life of Zack and Cody,” “Phil of the Future,” and “American Dragon: Jake Long.” Shows returning from Toon Disney include: “Jackie Chan Adventures,” “Fantastic Four,” “X-Men,” and “Oban Star-Racers.” W
