Discovering British Columbia: Hidden Gems and Travel Tips
Hi everyone! I’m planning to visit British Columbia soon, and I’ve been doing some research, but there’s so much to explore, it’s a bit overwhelming. I remember my cousin telling me about a trip she took there a few years ago—she went kayaking in the Gulf Islands, and she said it was one of the most peaceful experiences she’s ever had. I’m more into hiking though, so I’m looking for some good trail recommendations. I’m not necessarily after the super popular spots, but maybe something off the beaten path. Any suggestions from those who’ve been?
Oh, that sounds amazing! If you’re into hiking, there are definitely some hidden gems in BC. I’ve done quite a few trails there myself, and one of my favorites has to be Garibaldi Lake. It’s a bit of a challenging hike, but the views at the top are totally worth it. You’ll feel like you’re in a postcard! If you’re looking for more options, I’d suggest checking out BC Local, they have a great list of trails and outdoor activities. Another tip: try to make it to the Kootenays if you can—it’s less crowded and has some beautiful scenery.
