Dining HallHow is the food served, and what choices will my child have?
Camp Starlight’s Dining Hall is situated in the center of camp overlooking the first lake and separates the two campuses. It is also home to thousands of bunk plaques, the first of which dates back to 1947. Boys and girls eat on separate sides of the dining hall by bunk, with our youngest campers in their own part of the dining hall. Older campers eat in a separate seating. Our Kitchen and Dining Room is kosher. Breakfast and dinner are served family style with the addition of bagel/cereal bars at breakfast and salad/pasta or potato bars at dinner. Lunch is served buffet style and also features an extensive salad bar, homemade soups and fresh fruit. Campers have the option of picnicking outside for lunch. There is a mid-afternoon “fruit break”. Once a week there is a cookout held for the entire camp at our outdoor barbeque overlooking the countryside. The outdoor barbeque is also the location for our breakfast cookouts, which rotates from division to division throughout the summer. Can
