Didn the world end in the season two finale? What about the worldwide plague reports?
A. If you listen to the radio reports they only list a few areas under quarantine conditions, not the entire world. There was also a faint hope throughout the show that the Marburg Virus would fade away as it had in the past. As for the reports in Exegesis that the plague was only responsible for 70 some deaths, it’s possible that The Millennium Group was panicking and began to think every strange occurrence in the world was related to the Marburg Virus. On a more realistic note, the season 3 producers claim all reports in the season 2 finale were exaggerated and inaccurate.
