Did you sell more vinyl, CDs, or merchandise – ie. what form of music related physical product prevailed?
It was a vinyl celebration. Other merchandise was an afterthought for the label community, and certainly for the consumer. There were no stand-out non-vinyl releases. Q: If you could make any improvements to the overall Record Store Day campaign, if any, what would they be? A: It would be great to have more promotional giveaways so that we can turn this massive audience on to new music. In the absence of marketing, we see a downward trend in sales.
