A lot of incorrect info given so far. BK is NOT a British company, and it is NOT owned by YUM Brands. It is a publicly traded company based in Fountainbleu, Florida. It’s full name is Burger King Holdings, and it operates within the US as Burger King Brands and outside the US as Burger King Corporation. 90% of its outlets are privately owned and operated by franchisees. The best way to describe the company, in spite of its origins in the US and headquarters there, is that it is a multi-national, like so many others in the age of globalization.
