Did you know about Thomas Edison vs Nikola Tesla…?
Did you know the reason we use AC today as the power source in our home is not because of Edison’s demonstrations with animals but because DC on the same scale would be impractical? DC is used everyday as batteries are DC storage devices which power our cars, our cellphones, our hand held devices, our watches, etc. But DC has it’s limitations. For one different size batteries have a different duration and may have a different voltage and certainly have a different amperage. AAA, AA, and D cell batteries are all 1.5 volt batteries, but the alkaline AAA has between 900 and 1,155 mAh (milliampere-hour) while the alkaline AA has 2,400 mAh and the alkaline D has 12,000 mAh. Take note that the amperage increases as the battery gets bigger, though there are exceptions. A 9 volt battery has more volts than an AAA but it may have less amperage (a typical alkaline 9 volt is only 565 mAh, whereas a lithium is 1200 mAh). As a battery gets larger it may produce more voltage or amperage and may run
