Every year we had GNIMOCEMOH (homecoming backward). We also had theme days, like PJ Day or Dress Up As Your Favorite Song Day. We had pep rallies, and the dumb poms squad would dance, and because our school was really into sports, we’d give them awards and stuff. I helped my friend Jackie MC them twice, and we wrote the script based on Mean Girls (I dressed up as Lindsay) and Wayne’s World (I dressed up as Garth). Wayne’s World was a hit because we performed “Bohemian Rhapsody.” I won GNIMOCEMOH class queen one year. I wore my crown to Potbelly’s after school and tried to get a free sandwich.
