Did you condemn the Israel Defence Force actions at Qana?
We were particularly concerned at the unnecessary deaths and suffering of civilians. The UK welcomed and fully supports the UNSC Presidential Statement issued on 30 July, expressing its extreme shock and distress at the shelling by the Israel Defence Force of a residential building in Qana and strongly deploring the loss of innocent lives. The Security Council also launched a UN investigation into the incident. The Foreign Secretary spoke to Israeli Foreign Minister Livni to express our deep concern.
