Did world war one really liberate women?

0

This is a little vague. First, what women were liberated? They did not fight in the war as troops. They were allowed to work at jobs that were traditionally held by men during the war however when the men came back from war women were fired from their jobs so that men returning from the war could find employment. European and American women did not get vote for several years after WWI. There were opportunities open during the war for women and they took advantage however as soon as the war was over, they lost all that was available. No, it did not liberate women.
