Did Vogue airbrush Kate Winslet?
UK Vogue have denied claims that some serious airbrushing went on when they photographed Kate Winslet for their January 2007 cover. The fashion bible say the actress is pictured “au naturel” in this picture, although recent pictures of Kate looking rather more lined than she does here (see behind the jump), would seem to suggest otherwise – or so say the British media, anyway. Winslet, of course, is famously opposed to the digital manipulation of her image (she got very upset with GQ a few years ago when they did the same thing), and Vogue say they’ve respected that. Is so, it’ll be something of a first: can you imagine a fashion magazine not being tempted to airbrush the model on their cover, even a little bit?
