Did USA have a racist immigration policy for South Asians?
If that were correct, that would be a racist policy. It is not correct. Until 1965 or so, the way we divided up our immigration allotments was as most of the rest of the world did. We accepted a percentage of immigration that corresponded to the percentage of the population in our population. We sought, and we got, social harmony, and it worked. We were the most productive society in the world in those days, and we are sure not now. But if you were admitted to the program, you became a citizen after you completed the program. Something you should also check is that La Raza is calling all Americans who do not accept the illegal aliens racist. They use their 5th grade educations, and tell us how it was… and it was not even close to being as they have described. Sadly, they can pretty much say what they want when they do the article.
