Did Three Wise Men Really Visit Baby Jesus?
It is my understanding that the three ‘wise men’ were really ancient astrologers…they knew of the coming birth of a ‘savior’…..it took them a long time to get to where Jesus was, so he was not a newborn when they got there; remember, the ‘star’ (really a conjunction of two planets) pointed to where Jesus was at the time of his birth; so it’s not very likely that these three men were right on time for his being born!! But, alas, there is always so much speculation about this event!! And I thought EVERYONE knew that Dec. 25th was chosen as it was the birthdate for some pagan god, and the emporer at that time was trying to ‘ease’ his people into accepting Christ, so kept the Dec. 25th date for their sake…
